Door County cycling advocates are making real progress toward an off-road, multimodal trail network that could connect the villages of northern Door County. Susan Stauber has led an impressive effort in the Village of Egg Harbor, where she has brought in consultants from the National Park Service, gained the support of the Wisconsin Bike Fed, and hosted a community summit to discuss trail options last fall.
This winter the Egg Harbor Trails project brought in several volunteer staff members to continue the work and lay groundwork for trails that could connect segments south of the village up to Fish Creek in the coming years.
